day twenty-one – 25 days of compassion

What did the 500lb rat say?  (Here, kitty kitty kitty.)

———-

What do you want for Christmas?

– I don’t know. What kind of tools do I need?

One that’s 6’2″, 190lbs, black hair …

– Pretty sure slavery is illegal these days.

———-

Sometimes the best part of compassion are those moments that pull someone else out of a moment of despair … if only for a quick laugh or to see a situation from a different point of view.

I’ve asked people to tell me jokes when I’ve had a bad day. I like that. Makes me remember life isn’t so serious and moves on no matter what happens.

So the next time someone seems to be falling off the radar, slipping out of your grasp, try sending them a joke. It might be just the thing they need. 🙂
